I have 10 weeks until I hit my due date, and I feel exhausted. I've been reading that this is normal, but it sure has been difficult, I don't remember being this tired in my first trimester. Everything seems to take more effort to do, and I get tired a lot faster when doing normal things!

Today, I went on a 30ish minute walk during my lunch break, when I returned to my office I was ready for a full blown nap. I still haven't recovered and would take a nap right now if I could. I'm praying for a second wind to hit sometime over these next 10 weeks. I'm trying to enjoy these last few weeks of being pregnant, and yes I am being serious. There are a lot of great aspects to being pregnant, right now one of the best parts is being able to feel the baby move. He sure is active!! There have been multiple times where I could even feel his heartbeat through the belly. Derek enjoys giving him kisses through the belly, and has also been very good at reminding me to watch what I say because the baby can hear us. It's been fun to go into the baby's room and look at all of his clothes and the cloth diapers that we have so far, I can't believe he'll be here so soon.

Time has been flying by, it seems like yesterday was the 4th of July and now it's August 11! Before I know it, we will be posting pictures of the baby to introduce him to all of you.

  1. I'm getting so excited to meet this little guy! I also hope you get a 2nd wind soon. Maybe the nesting urge will kick in and you'll do a huge cleaning/organizing/shopping extravaganza. That's always fun!

  2. I try to nest right now, but I get so tired after a 30-40 minute cleaning spree that I end up making more of a mess than what I started with! The real panic mode hasn't hit yet - I've been told that is coming, where I'll just freak out about not being ready. Granted we don't have a place for him to sleep, a car seat, or anything more than clothes just yet, but that's ok!

  3. I'm sure you're aware of most issues with the diapers but here is a link to my high school friend Jill. She just switched to cloth diapers with her daughter and talks about the trials and tribulations with them. I thought you might be interested in reading her oddball issues with them so you can be better prepared.

  4. We've talked to a lot of people about cloth diapers and that helped us make our decision. Plus my sister in law has used them with our nephew since birth so we've witnessed it all first hand.

  5. I remember you telling me that, about your sister in law. It wasn't until I read Jill's entries that I would have thought clothing might be an issue! I'm reading a lot of these issues and putting them in my mental bank. I think just to save on costs in the future I will seriously look into it. I think Gordo wants me too also. :-) Less money on diapers means more in action figures and comic books.
